Suze Orman discusses student debt and the predatory lending practices of Sallie Mae (by bcbsil12)

This is important. For students everywhere and for future physicians taking out loans for their higher education. It’s absolutely ludicrous how much money medical education costs - and tuition rates for both private and public schools are on the rise with no signs of stopping. Compound that with the amount of loans from private banks and you’ve got people not even wanting to get a higher education because of the inhibitory prices right away. There’s something wrong with our focus as a nation when the majority of peoples don’t know about this mushrooming problem. Or they do and don’t do anything about it.

But I need to educate myself, or find more sources to figure out the confusion and/or difficulties in bringing this forefront. Anybody know of any off hand?
