Board meetings galore!
And thus ends the second day of board meetings. Oh man, are these marathons.
11 hrs day one.
14 hrs day two. Filled with heated debate, deliberation, and line by line budget reviews. Working lunches and dinners. But only bio breaks (for bathroom), which were filled with lobbying to get people on your side and so on. Talk about busy. Youd figure once we get back to the hotel, it’d be a good break. Nope. We all stay at the same hotel, and so we continue to discuss and figure out how the next days debates will go. So just add an extra 2.5 hrs.
Crazy, sometimes this second “job” (first one being medical school) takes far too much time. Stuck in a board room full of type A’s for a good long time is draining, and we have one more day.
It’s great,though, that everyones pretty good friends. Or at least mature enough to maintain a professional relationship separate from the actual friendship.
Progress. We haz it.
